Planning a wedding is never a breezy task, so is creating the perfect wedding reception. You have read about the 6 Top Wedding Shopping Tips for an unforgettable wedding reception, here are six more tips to make sure your wedding shopping and planning goes on well without a problem.
1) So you have done your wedding shopping. Now it’s time to create a schedule of events for the wedding reception and give a copy to everyone in the main bridal party. This should include the names of those who are responsible for specific things such as ensuring that the guests have somewhere to hang up their outdoor clothing, and who the wedding reception venue personnel should talk to if they have a problem.
2) Keep things simple. Everyone wants a unique wedding reception, but unique doesn’t have to be complicated. The less elements there are to your wedding, the easier you will keep control of things going the way you want them. If you are planning a themed wedding, try to make it a visual thing rather than going all the way and serving a Victorian banquet menu – you can have a Victorian wedding without serving pheasant! That makes your wedding shopping alot easier too!

3) Experiment with your hair and accessories before the wedding day, ideally after you are finished with your wedding shopping. If you’re going to color your hair, or perm it, or add extensions, or even have it cut, this should be done the week before so that your hair has time to settle before your wedding day. Make sure that the style you choose will work through the wedding, and then the wedding reception. If you’re having a change of clothes, can you get out of your wedding dress and into your next outfit without ruining your hairstyle? Make sure one of your bridesmaids is able to help you tuck any stray hairs back into place throughout the day.
4) Make sure you get what you’re paying for when planning a wedding. If your bridal reception includes wedding reception decorations, check what this means in advance so you’re not disappointed on the day. Otherwise, you might need to do your wedding shopping for decorations on your own. Ask the venue organizer to show you what they will provide. Will the venue charge you extra for cutting the wedding cake if they haven’t provided it? Will they allow you to bring your own wedding cake and/or wine onto the premises? Small details such as this can add stress to your wedding day so sort them out in advance.

5) If you’re booking a DJ for the wedding reception, ask them for a play list so that you know the kind of music that they will provide. Ask if they will take requests. Ask if they will interact with the guests at your wedding so that you can make announcements etc through the DJ once the music begins. If not, you would need to get some music CDs during your wedding shopping. Once the meal is over, and everyone is enjoying themselves, the DJ or band become a central part of the wedding reception so don’t go on someone else’s recommendation – check it out yourself.
12. Have fun. Having done all your wedding shopping and delegated most of the organization on the big day to your friends and family members, relax and enjoy the day as it happens. Planning a wedding is tough enough and it may not be 100% what you thought it should be, but as long as you and your husband have a great day full of love and laughter surrounded by the people you care about, then that’s all that you should remember in the years to come.

Planning the perfect wedding reception can take a while and cause unnecessary stress; it is not something you can do fast and easy. Many wedding organizers suffer from stress while trying to ensure that all goes well on such a special day. Various components of your wedding decorations will need to be in place for your wedding day.
When you decide not to hire a professional wedding planner and then do all your wedding shopping yourself, you will find these 6 great ideas a lifesaver. Here we offer you some interesting wedding reception ideas that can be very helpful while planning your very own wedding reception.

You should begin your wedding shopping as soon as you can. Plan to have all your wedding reception accessories in their place the day before your wedding if you can. For instance, along with your wedding reception decorations you should leave your change of clothing for the honeymoon at the bridal reception area. While you are there, take some time to visit with any staff members who will be on duty during the day of your wedding reception and make sure they know what it is you need.
If your cake vendor is not delivering your wedding cake for you, consider picking up the wedding cake the day before your wedding. Remember, to find out if the cake requires any type of special overnight storage on the same day that you make your cake reservations. Call ahead of time to make sure that it is available for pick up the day before the wedding.

Plan on having all your wedding reception decorations delivery to your wedding reception as early as you can. Remember any fresh floral arrangement should reach your wedding reception destination in the early morning of your wedding. Let the location staff know they can expect your flowers as well as where you want them to place the arrangements.
You will need to involve your friends and family members. In order to ensure that all the wedding reception location arrangements are properly attended, ask at least one person to help you with your wedding shopping. However, keep in mind that the person you ask to help with this is not one of your wedding attendants. You will need to know that your wedding attendants are where you need them to be rather than searching for missing pieces of tableware or polishing the dust off glassware so that it gleams.
Appoint someone to be responsible for ensuring everyone has transportation from your wedding venue to your wedding reception sites. Unless you have your ceremony at the same venue as the reception, you will always find there is someone who turns up and doesn’t have a ride to the reception. Make sure that you have someone who can co-ordinate travel for those who don’t have their own transport on the day.
You will also need to assign someone responsible for making sure the children are entertained during your wedding reception. Although, weddings are family affairs there may be children who cannot keep still or quiet during the wedding speeches. Remember the children while you are wedding shopping. You can keep your younger guests happy by having on hand some coloring books and crayons. Designate one of your bridesmaids to help prevent any potential problems, since you do not want the children to bother with any of your wedding reception decorations as well!

Knowing this helps you to better, consider what you want and how you want it to represent you and your wedding. You should seriously consider your wedding theme colors before you begin your wedding shopping. You might like the idea of choosing colors for your wedding stationary that match your wedding decor. Shopping for my bridal accessories with my friends turned out to be a fun day. We found the perfect shoes and they perfectly match my dress. It occurred to me that shopping for bridal accessories are a very important step for every bride.
When we first started I wasn’t too concerned about what was going on but my friend Karen was quick to remind me about the shoes. She said we should always buy the shoes before we buy anything else because we wanted everything to match. Karen is my most practical friend. Did I mention I bought my shoes online? Sorry! Yes, I did. Actually I bought everything online and was very pleased with my finds.
My wedding shoes came from Stuart Weitzman and let me tell you they have some fabulous choices. I chose the Stuart Weitzman Dubonnet Wedding Shoes because they were chic and perfect match to my dress. And they are so comfy!

My first choice was a beach wedding at first but my fiancé wanted to be inside so I couldn’t wear sandals but I love the ones I bought. I’ll tell you though, some of the best advice I got was to choose satin shoes for my silk dress. This was perfect.
Would a tiara work or would a traditional wedding veil be more appropriate? After much search, I found an elegant crystal tiara that was very helpful in describing the options. The best choice for me was the traditional wedding tiara called “Catherine Rhinestone and Crystal Tiara“. My friends talked me into buying a tiara to go with it since my friends are always calling me a princess.
When doing your wedding shopping, it is important to take your time to find your personal style. Your wedding day is the time for you to shine and show off the real you. Take your time and do your wedding research.

Now when we mention the various themed weddings we can’t forget about the ones that were most famous of all. Couples have gone to Las Vegas for the Elvis wedding forever. You can go to Las Vegas, NV to have one or you can create the theme locally. Think about the movies that Elvis was in and work with it from this place.
Some people are into science fiction and there are many themes that are Star Wars or Star Trek oriented. Guests dress up to watch their Klignon bride and groom get hitched in the traditional Klingon way. Although this may seem far fetched for some, it can be interesting if you like one of these movies.
The first thing you need to do when you are planning a themed wedding is to make sure that you and your fiancé agree on that theme. The next thing is to plan it in the way you want to and make sure your friends and family know in plenty of time to find the costumes they need.
Believe it or not, you can find wedding favors, wedding invitations and anything you need to support the theme of your choice. Themed weddings have become a big business and the theme is only limited by your imagination.
So, have a great time, find a unique wedding theme that you like and go for it. This will truly be a memorable occasion.

Although many couples still decide on a traditional wedding there are many who are changing their minds to themed weddings. These themes can be anything from a Disney wedding to a country and western theme. Do you know that your wedding shopping can only begin upon knowing which wedding theme you have chosen?
Some people ask us if they need a wedding theme in order to get people to come to their weddings since so many people are doing this now. Although the answer to this question is “no”, a theme wedding can be fun for both the couple and the guests.
One of the most interesting themes lately is the Western wedding. This can take on many different styles from having the bride and groom ride up on horseback to having country and western music. This trend seems to be getting so popular that many bands and DJ’s are adding country and western music to their playlist.
Other people go back in time to the 1920s, 1960s or 1970s. They like to pick a time when life was different and enjoy the music and the culture of that time. There are lots of pictures and party favors that you can get for this theme and guests love to party at a sock hop.
Some people really enjoy dressing up in costumes and a new trend is to do a Medieval or Renaissance Wedding. These themed weddings allow guests and bridal party to rent a costume instead of wearing formal bridal attire and the reception can be a true medieval feast.

So this is an important day and here are some ways to avoid wedding day stress. Here’s how:
1. Prior to the wedding day, put someone else in charge even if you have to pay them. Have a wedding planner or event planner in place that will take care of all the little details.
2. On the day of your wedding, early in the morning, get a nice massage. This will ensure that you are relaxed throughout the day and is perfect for , wedding day stress survival
3. Realize that sometimes things can go wrong and that is just the nature of things. Relax. Remember that someone else is dealing with it and all you have to do is show up.
4. Keeping a sense of humor about anything that comes up is a great way to make sure you don’t worry. Whatever happens, try to see the fun in it because it can be one of your favorite wedding stories to tell later.
5. Remember that you will need that time to relax the day before and the day after your wedding. There will be things that you will want to do but instead, just relax. You will have plenty of time to do all those things later.
6. If you have children (some people do because this is a second wedding) arrange to have someone else to take care of them on the wedding day. It’s even better, if you could get someone to look after them a day or two before the wedding and a couple of days after the wedding. This will surely reduce your wedding day stress. A relative will work just fine so that you have some peace and quiet as you move forward towards the day.
7. When you have done all of these tips or at least some of them also remember to breathe. When we get stressed, often it gets difficult to breathe. But we must take a moment or two to calm down and take a deep breath. Wedding day stress survival is possible, you know!
When you are finally standing at the altar and you are just about to kiss your partner think about how lucky you are to be here…and then, remember to dance!

The day is almost here and you are stressing. You are afraid that it will not go off without something happening. The caterer seems late, the music isn’t here yet and…okay, so let’s step back a bit and start this picture over.
If you have been the person planning your wedding and you are about to approach that big day it is time for you to stop and let someone else take over. Yes, this is a time when you have to give it up and hopefully you put this in as part of the planning stage.
Your wedding day shouldn’t be the time when you are all stressed out, you should have a stress-less wedding Instead, it’s a time of reflection, a time to relax and enjoy and a time to let someone else deal with the hassle. Today is the day that you must realize that you have the person of your dreams and the two of you are about to be wed.

How do you want your wedding ceremony to look? What type of flowers do you want in order to have the perfect ceremony? What type of music? Do you want a theme wedding? These are all questions that should be answered ahead of time in order to have the perfect wedding. Look through magazines for styles that are current. Talk to your friends and family about musicians. Proper planning is what makes perfect weddings.
Here are a few tips:
1. When looking for a florist find someone that is known to your friends or family. Be able to tell them you heard about their work from your friends. Make sure that the florist will be available for your date and check on the types of floral arrangements they have done before. A good florist should be able to help you choose the flowers for the occasion without charging you an arm and a leg to get it.
2. Find a caterer that specializes in the food you want. If you decide on a theme wedding make sure they specialize in the type of food for the theme. Ask around about this one too because you want someone who can bring the full set up from plates and eating utensils to the food. Be sure to book the caterer ahead — usually the further ahead you book the better able to find a good caterer.
3. Musicians should be interviewed even if they are referred to you or if you have heard them before because you will want to know what they play. You can choose from a live band to a DJ or classical music and this will all depend on where you want the music during the ceremony. Obviously a DJ would be reserved for a reception.
4. Make sure that all the bridesmaids and best men are fitted by a certain time so that they are ready the day of the wedding ceremony.
Planning a perfect wedding is possible you know, and we hope that these tips will help you achieve the flawless wedding that everyone wants.

You have finally had the proposal and it is time to plan your wedding. You feel like you have a limited budget and you think you will have to compromise on the things that you really want. However, wedding planning on a budget doesn’t mean you have to cheapen your dreams. What it really means is that you just have to know your wedding budget so you can begin to choose what you want.

Before you start spending it is a good idea to make a list of all the basic things you want for your wedding. The first step is to get organized. Use a wedding planner, get a large 3 ring notebook and begin to gather information into the notebook. Keep names, phone numbers, prices, ideas, what you want and so forth. Anything to do with your wedding will go into this wedding planner.
If you are short on ideas for an inexpensive wedding, get bridal magazines. Believe it or not you don’t have to purchase these because you can find them in many places. Check your public library, the local department stores in their bridal sections and look in the floral shops. In all of these places you should see free bridal magazines. As an example, bridal registries usually have them sitting on the desk.
You can use this information to construct your wedding gown in a similar way that you used Colorforms — take a bow from one idea, a veil from another and build the dress you want. Next, look for bridal bouquets that you like. Many of the magazines will have examples and check with a florist as to what types of flowers you can find during the time of year you will wed. This truly helps for a wedding on a budget.
If you want to go on a honeymoon a great way to determine how to do this is to go to a travel agent and get as many of the different brochures you can carry. Sit down with your fiancée and look at places you may want to go. Get ones that are local as well as exotic vacations. You might even try a destination wedding because sometimes there is a package deal that will help you go where you want.
Now that you have some ideas, it’s time to sit down with a wedding budget. Planning a budget wedding will be a matter of deciding your priorities. What do you want to spend the most on and what is something that doesn’t need as much? If you want a honeymoon, you can always take it a little later or a little differently at a later date. Do the math on all of this and get the best for the wedding budget you need to work within.
You can be creative in many ways from your invitations to the bridesmaids’ dresses and food. You don’t have to do things exactly like tradition because today, everyone does what they want. With a little imagination, you can have the wedding of your dreams on any budget wedding.
