Besides your dress, makeup is the most important feature of your total look as you walk down the aisle on your wedding day. Because of this it is important that you have the perfect bridal makeup so that you present a graceful look.

You can create different moods when you put on your bridal makeup.  The environment where you will get married can determine how it will turn out. As an example, when you are getting married inside a church or a hall you won’t have to worry about the wind or the sun. If you are getting married on a beach you will have to worry about the water spray that comes up from the water in some cases as well as the other elements from the environment.

All of these things must be taken into consideration when you prepare your bride makeup or it could have serious consequences (you will be embarrassed, I promise!). Here are some tips to make sure you put your best face forward:

1.    Get a facial — for some people this is a no brainer but for others this may not enter your mind. However, getting a facial a few weeks before your wedding will insure that your face will be the perfect canvas to put makeup onto. You won’t want to miss this step. It may also identify problem spots that you will need to attend to on that day.

2.    Keep hydrated — most people don’t realize that your skin is influenced by the amount of water you drink. Even if you sip water throughout the day, it will have a positive affect on your face. This is also important to make sure your  comes out the way you want it to look.

3.    Pluck ahead of time — you know what I’m talking about, right? Many women decide to pluck their eyebrows on the day of their wedding and it leaves little red bumps along the line and they are really hard to cover up. If you pluck at least a week before your wedding you won’t have the bumps.

4.    Choose the right lipstick — something that will last a long time is the best bet for perfect wedding makeup. Don’t put on your makeup until just before you’re walking down the aisle. Oh – and another tip my grandmother gave me: If you want it to last a long time, put just a brief layer of powder on your lips afterward and put another coat of lipstick over that. My grandmother says this is the best way to keep kissable lips.

Make sure that you pick colors that compliment each other and your dress. If you’re not sure about the colors, it’s advisable that you do a trial run before your wedding to make sure that it does compliment your dress. This will make sure that you have the most beautiful bride makeup and it will be just one more thing that is perfect on your wedding day.
