If you want to do something peculiar for your marriage and win the appreciation of the people, you can opt for a theme for your wedding. Instead of following the same old traditions for the marriage, you can choose a wedding theme such as tropical wedding, beach wedding, garden wedding, and be a face out of the crowd. These days, a majority of people are turning their mind towards the themed weddings.

Theme weddings turn out to be very exciting for the guests as well as the couple. You can enjoy your day more, if you have opted for a marriage based on a theme. Selecting a theme for the marriage is not a new concept of course, as many people have started doing this for a long time to make their celebration more effective and vivacious.

The theme of the wedding should be proposed and accepted by both the partners. Make sure that you inform your guests well in advance about the theme, so that they can search and hire the type of dress that matches the theme of your party.  The concept of wearing dresses according to a mentioned code is widely accepted and preferred by most of the guests. People, who come to attend the party, enjoy wearing new dresses, as they get a chance to get rid of the formals they have been wearing for long.

There are a variety of wedding themes available. You can either opt for a traditional theme that will date you back to the early 1960’s. You can ask your guests to wear apparels of that time. The music of the same time can enhance the atmosphere of the party. You can arrange for special dance troops to perform the dance that reminds you of the olden times and also hire a palanquin for the bride.

The other choice can be the western style, where all guests as well as the couple will bloom in western outfits. Western music will steal everybody’s heart accompanied by western dance.

If you love to have fun, then you can opt for the Disney wedding, where everybody will have to dress themselves like cartoon characters. The air will have a child like smell there, with people running, laughing and playing all around. This theme will turn out to be very interesting if opted. There can be many more themes of the same sort, like you can choose to have a beach or tropical wedding, where the decorations will be done as if the party is being held near a beach. You can ask your guests to wear apparels that suit the cool atmosphere of a beach party. You can arrange for a beach dance and beach music accompanied by some wine.

If desired you can create your own themes as well and enjoy the pleasure of a themed wedding. Themed weddings are gaining popularity among all major sectors of the society these days. Guests admire and value such sorts of occasions.

Before Your Wedding Shopping Begins

Published on July 31st, 2009 by dorischua, under Bridal Accessories, Wedding Planning & Wedding Shopping. (No Comments).

Every bride wants to stand out on her wedding day. Therefore, all brides will go through all lengths to look good and stunning on that special day. To make that happen, make sure you begin your wedding shopping early especially when it comes to your bridal attire. With a huge assortment of bridal attire available to suit all sizes, shapes, ages and personalities, it can be a daunting task to make choices and decisions. Here are some tips when it comes to making decisions on your bridal attire:

1. Your Bridal  Hairstyle

$225.00

How do you want to wear your hair?  Which way complements your dress best?  Consider this before you choose what bridal accessories to buy for your hair.  You may decide that you want an up-do that will look great with a tiara, or you may prefer to have your hair down and braided with fresh flowers that match the ones in your wedding bouquet.

2. Your Wedding Veil

$270.00

Whether or not you wear a veil is a personal choice.  Many brides continue to follow the veil tradition but they don’t always have the veil covering their face as they walk down the aisle to meet their partner.  When choosing a veil consider how well the length and style of it fits with your chosen wedding dress.

3. Your Wedding Shoes

$200.00

Shoes are an important part of your wedding shopping.  What size heel do you feel the most comfortable in?  If you want to wear high heels, how tall is your husband to be?  If you are of similar heights, consider how you will look together when you stand side by side making your vows if you choose to where 3 inch heels!

4. Be Practical with Your Wedding Dress

$162.50

Remember that unless you intend to wear a different bridal dress for your wedding reception, you will have this outfit on for a number of hours and will be required to walk around in it, post for photographs in it, perhaps kneel at an alter and certainly eat.  Your entire wedding day outfit needs to be practical as well as pretty!  A thigh length split at one side may be sexy but how will you feel getting out of a vehicle, or crouching down for photographs?

5. What’s Your Wedding Theme?

If you are having a themed wedding, you might find the perfect bridal dress that fits your theme in a costume store rather than a bridal store.

6. What’s the Weather Like?

$145.00

Consider the time of year that you are having your wedding.  It could be that you need to find a wrap that will stop you from freezing when having your photos taken in your chosen bridal dress.

7. Hire a Wedding Dress

Wedding dresses don’t have to be bought!  If you want to wear a designer dress, but your wedding budget doesn’t stretch that far, you could hire your bridal wear instead of buying it.

shopping for bridal accessories

Published on January 12th, 2009 by dorischua, under Bridal Accessories, Wedding Planning & Wedding Shopping. (No Comments).

Shopping for my bridal accessories with my friends turned out to be a fun day. We found the perfect shoes and they perfectly match my dress. It occurred to me that shopping for bridal accessories are a very important step for every bride.

When we first started I wasn’t too concerned about what was going on but my friend Karen was quick to remind me about the shoes. She said we should always buy the shoes before we buy anything else because we wanted everything to match. Karen is my most practical friend. Did I mention I bought my shoes online? Sorry! Yes, I did. Actually I bought everything online and was very pleased with my finds.

My wedding shoes came from Stuart Weitzman and let me tell you they have some fabulous choices. I chose the Stuart Weitzman Dubonnet Wedding Shoes because they were chic and perfect match to my dress. And they are so comfy!

$89.00
My first choice was a beach wedding at first but my fiancé wanted to be inside so I couldn’t wear sandals but I love the ones I bought. I’ll tell you though, some of the best advice I got was to choose satin shoes for my silk dress. This was perfect.

Would a tiara work or would a traditional wedding veil be more appropriate? After much search, I found an elegant crystal tiara that was very helpful in describing the options. The best choice for me was the traditional wedding tiara called “Catherine Rhinestone and Crystal Tiara“. My friends talked me into buying a tiara to go with it since my friends are always calling me a princess.

When doing your wedding shopping, it is important to take your time to find your personal style. Your wedding day is the time for you to shine and show off the real you. Take your time and do your wedding research.
